Databases clone Using ACFS

Refreshing test or development databases has become an almost daily task for DBAs. Unfortunately,
the traditional DUPLICATE method is not fitting anymore to the requirements of data volume, duration
and flexibility we are facing nowadays. File Systems such as ACFS have introduced commit on write
technologies for snapshotting that change the paradigm of database provisioning and cloning. This
session will present how using ACFS snapshot allows to easily and quickly generate new copies of
production databases.
