Who shut my database down? A security post mortem.
This presentation takes you on a stroll through a typical linux system and the Oracle database, in order to discover what security related information is stored, and what that means to understand what happened in the past, and what isnt logged and visible. Further, it shows some gotchas on gathering information from logfiles, and advise on how an linux installation can be made more tamper proof, and some twists with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Clusterware. At the end of the presentation you should be able to describe what security related information is stored on a linux system, and be able to configure it to provide the information you want or are required to store.
