I worked a lot as a consultant in the Oracle database area and have therefore seen many database environments. From single instances to high-availability solutions using Data Guard, for example, to Oracle Cloud topics.
Monitoring, and Oracle Enterprise Manager in particular, has become my ‘personal hobbyhorse’.
It is a multi-layered tool that I have installed and configured numerous times for various customers and used to carry out various upgrade scenarios.
Despite its complexity, I find it fascinating to discover and utilise its many possibilities.
